“What, you’re already sleeping? Fuck that.” Vivi laughed and rolled over, getting out of bed. Her companion, Simon, was pretending to snore with his arm draped over his eyes. He was playing hooky, skipping his sex rehab therapy session only to fuel his addiction with Vivi. She could hear his cell phone ringing non-stop. She bent over, picking up the pair of pants that were playing the theme song from his old TV show.
“Wait, bend over again…” Simon said, peeking out from under his arm. Vivi threw the pants at him, listening for the satisfying thump as his phone hit him on the forehead.

From the top of the pole I watch her go down/she got me throwing my money around
Vivi was sick and tired of yoga class. It was supposed to be calming and soothing, but she was finding it tedious today.
The instructor hit the gong, signaling the break. Vivi yawned and stretched, then grabbed her water bottle. It was empty. With a roll of her eyes, she untangled her legs and left the yoga room to find the water fountain.
The gym opened up into the main room, where the weight machines and the aerobic machines sat. Vivi’s gaze drifted towards the free weights; she could usually find a muscle man to gawk at and flirt with.
But no, Garrett was over there today, and she felt her stomach drop like she was on a roller coaster. She still paused to admire his gymnast’s body, watching the muscles in his arms and abdomen flexing and toning. It was like tunnel vision, and she had to get to the tiny pinprick of light or she would die.

it makes you burn to learn you're not the only one/I'd let you be if you'd put down your blazing gun
The paparazzi were out in full force tonight. All of the greasy, bottom-feeding photographers were camped by every entrance of LUXurious, the club where Lexy was performing. Vivi had no trouble finding the place. All she had to do was follow the flashing light bulbs of the cameras. It promised to be a star-studded evening.

Sometimes I feel like I live in Grand Central Station
It was times like these Vivi was glad that her cell phone worked internationally. It was going off like crazy, as soon as she turned it back on when she got off her flight from Lux to China. Lexy had set the ringtone to her latest single, and it was nice to always have a piece of her sister with her, when they weren’t together.

you're a hot mess and i'm falling for you/i'm like hot damn let me make you my boo
“Viv, I knowwww you’re there! Pick up the damn phone!” Vivienne Karina heard her little sister’s voice shouting through the answering machine of her apartment. Lexy could be so annoying sometimes, but now that her career as a pop star had taken off, Vivi had to talk to her sister when she got the chance.
